Quick and delicious... my beetroot hummus recipe with healthy crackers

This beetroot hummus recipe is super easy! And it tastes sooooo good you’ll never want shop bought again. Add some homemade healthy crackers and girl you’ve got yourself a very yummy and very nutritious snack.

Beetroot hummus recipe


  • 240g chickpeas
  • 100g cooked beetroot
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • Sesame seeds to decorate


Add all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. That’s it! I did tell you this was going to be easy!

Seeded crackers recipe


  • 90g pumpkin seeds
  • 40g sunflower seeds
  • 50g quinoa flakes
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
  • 100g gluten-free teff flour
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 100ml olive oil
  • 120ml water
  • Spices or herbs


  • Pre-heat your oven to 175 degrees
  • Measure out the dry ingredients and combine together in a mixing bowl
  • Add the olive oil to the dry ingredients and stir
  • Add the water and set aside for 7 minutes, until it looks a little like oatmeal
  • Put the dough on baking parchment on a baking tray
  • Place another sheet of baking paper on top and roll the dough out
  • Gently remove the top sheet of baking paper and place tray in oven
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until brown
  • Take out and leave to cool, then using your hands break up into ‘cracker-size’ pieces
